International Day

Kevin, Wuxi
On 4th June, Taihu International School had the International Day. Everyone came very early and we all lined up in our countries.
Then we all went out to the playground. After we all walked around the playground one time, we went to the steps at the front of the school and we had our school photo taken.
Then we all got in our mixed-up groups. We walked around the countrys' stalls. There were many activities that we could do. Sometimes we could get candy, or if you were even luckier, you could get prizes.
At lunch time, we had a very good lunch because we had lots of things to choose from and we could eat as much as we wanted, until all the
food was gone.
After lunch, we had our school assembly followed by a disco in the canteen. There were many dances
and songs. At home time, people were very tired. Everyone enjoyed International Day.
Could you write a news story for our newspaper? The best articles tell a story of something that actually happened and perhaps give your views about it. Obviously a picture helps tell the story too!
Sports Day
Shaun, Perth and Kinross
On the 27th May, our School had a sports day. It was a huge success and loads of dads, mums, grannys and grandads came to watch their children or grandchildren take part in this event.
We got spilt into four rivers. They were Almond, Tummel, Earn and
Tay. There were also lots of different games like : The penalty kick, shuttle run, sack race, obstacle course, the variety race and the fruit shop.
At the very end, we did a running race and a sack race. After that we all said thanks to special people.
End Of Year Show

Kevin, Wuxi

On 24th June, our school will have an end of year show. It is called The Magical Mystery Tour. First in the show, we will have a whole school dance, then, there will be the MYP dance. The MYP students will say some sentences and then we will sing a song called The Magical Mystery Tour. The MYP students will go around the gym with a bus made out of card. P5 will be doing their dance while the bus is moving. After that, P8 will do their dance. When the dance finishes, we sing Here Comes The Sun and Yellow Submarine. P4 students will do their dance and we sing The Long And Winding Road. After the song, P3, P1&P2 and P6 will do their dances. We will sing another song called Nowhere Man. After the P7 dance we sing All You Need Is Love, then there will be a little acting with P7 and the MYP students. Then, the MYP students play in the band and we sing the song Get Back. After the song, the show is finished. I’m looking forward to being in the show.

...the UK entry in the Eurovision Song Contest was worth more than last place. I thought it was a good, lively tune which is more than you could say about some of the others - and they got more points. What's going on....? [Sophie]
